But the most effective solution I have found is this one over on the Extensis site. The usual resolution is to try a restart until the Core will turn on. If it won't start right away after a reboot. Issues with getting the Core running are irritating, but I've learned a few things. Incidentally, the Core has bestowed upon me 3 or 4 corrupt databases to this point. It's not necessary to have Fusion2 (the app part) running, but you do want to make sure the Core is running. I just activate fonts as I need them and leave them on. With Fusion and above and auto activation on I can have Fusion activate two or more completely different fonts. With X1 and below I could depend on certain fonts activating all the time. The same one's I've had since the release of Fusion1.įusion introduced FontSense, which for me has always been more trouble than it's worth. I'm not having any issues with the two coexisting.

But Fusion 3 only runs on Snow Leopard, which requires an Intel Mac. Suitcast Fusion3 will support XPress 8.x. Suitcase Fusion2 will support XPress 7.x and 8.x. Did you know that Suitcase Fusion does not support QuarkXpress 8? Fusion supports XPress 7.5 max. By that statement I assume QuarkXPress 8.5 and Suitcase Fusion. Did you check system requirements?
